Greetings!

Nee Soon GRC is celebrating the PAssionArts Festival this year with a few big format visual arts, one of which is a photo mural of old Nee Soon. The mural will serve as a heritage reminder to our Nee Soon residents on the culture and history of Nee Soon. As such we are calling for photo submissions from residents who live in Nee Soon GRC or those who used to live in this area to be part of this photo mosaic.

I would like to seek your assistance in supporting this meaningful initiative by by submitting your photos of the various areas within Yishun town. Stand to win some prizes as well. The theme is "memories and dreans".

PAssionARTS Village 2014 – Colour my History, our Nee Soon Mosaic

Calling all shutterbugs and all avid photographers!
Help create the photo mosaic with the most number of photos in Singapore! Simply submit photos of your fondest dreams and memories of Nee Soon to us, and stand to win some prizes!

Submission period
• Submission period: 15 March 2014 to 10 May 2014
Rules and Regulations:
• Participants may submit as many photos as they like.
• Each participant is only entitled to win a maximum of one prize per category
• Each photo must depict the theme of the contest – dreams and memories of Nee Soon

Judging and Results
• Entries will be judged based on 3 categories:
o Category A: Most Memorable
o Category B: Most Historic
o Category C: Most Popular
• For the most liked category, entries with the most number of LIKES wins. (In the event of 2 or more photographs with the same number of likes, internal judging will be done)
• Judges’ decisions are final
• Results will be announced on 20 May 2014.
• All winners will be notified by email within a week from the release of the results

• Submission of photos begins on 15th March 2014 to 10th May 2014

• Your email should also include (incomplete details may be disqualified)
a) Participant’s Full name
b) A short description of the photographer
c) Age
d) Race
e) Address
f) Contact number
• Each participant must be the original author and holds the sole copyright for each photograph submitted for Colour my History – Our Nee Soon Mosaic.
• Late submissions will not be entertained. All submissions are deemed final with no further changes allowed.
• Each photograph submitted must be in JPEG format
• Both colour and monochrome photos are allowed











Terms and Conditions
• The organizer reserves the rights to disqualify any entries if the content is deemed inappropriate and/or the photographs fail to satisfy the Rules and Regulations of Colour my History – Our Nee Soon Mosaic and the law of Singapore.
• The organizer will not be liable for technical, hardware, or software failures of any kind or lost or unavailable network connections which may limit or prohibit an eligible entrant’s ability to participate in the competition.
• The organizer will not be held legally responsible for any conflict with regards to copyrights of photographs submitted.
• The organizer will not be liable for the injuries for the photographer in the course of participating in the competition.
• All prizes are as per stated in the website. Organizer reserves the right to change the prizes at any time without prior announcement.
• The organizer reserves the right to use/ reproduce/ display the images submitted for any artistic or non-commercial purposes. Photographers will however, retain their rights to their photos and will be credited should their photos be used.
• By joining in the contest, you agree that your photo may be exhibited in Community Art Galleries in Nee Soon GRC. You will be credited as the photographer but no monetary compensation will be given. You agree that selection of the photos to be exhibited has no bearing on whether or not the photo has won a prize in the competition. You also agree that not all photos submitted by you may be selected for exhibition and that the organizers have the right to make the final decision.
• By submitting their photographs, the participants are deemed to have understood and accepted the Rules and Regulations as stated by the organizer.
• The organising committee reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to change, modify, extend or reduce the terms and conditions of, or to suspend or terminate, the competition without prior notice.
