    Day 1 30/10/2012 (Tuesday): Singapore – Bangkok - Saraburi

Our van and guide will pick us up from airport and head for Saraburi

Saraburi has been an important city since ancient times. It is assumed to have been established approximately in 1549 during the reign of King Maha Chakkraphat of the Kingdom of Ayutthaya. It is assumed that the king had ordered to combine some parts of Lop Buri and Nakhon Nayok together and set up Saraburi province with an aim to be a centre for mobilizing the citizens during times of war. Therefore, from the Ayutthaya period, the story of Saraburi has usually related to battles and wars.

Saraburi is located on the east side of the Chao Phraya river valley. The east part of the province is covered by high plains and plateaus, while the western part is mostly low flat plains.

Two national parks are located in the province.Namtok Chet Sao Noi protects 28 kmē around a scenic waterfall. Phra Phutthachai protects the Khao Sam Lan Forest, which consists of hilly landscape and is the source to several rivers and waterfalls. The highest elevation is the Khao Khrok, 329 m above sea level.

Early lunch at Chok Chai Farm to have steaks, roast beef or burgers (lunch not inclusive). Alternatively we can go we can go to the Grand Monte Vineyards or honey farm

For over 10 years Chok Chai Farm has introduced agriculture innovation in Thailand and it is the place where people went to experience farming in a western setting (think cowboys). The farm organises Agro-knowledge tour and also ice cream workshop.

    Check into Suraburi resort
    Free and Easy until dinner

    Day 2 31/10/2012 (Wednesday): Saraburi - Bangkok

Wake up around 3.30-4am then head for the temple and we will try to do a sunrise shoot.

Watch monks descend the steps from Khao Sakae Krang. Truly a wonderful sight befitting of a ‘once-a-year’ event.

An early morning start is expected (around 4a.m.) in order to reach the temple early before the throngs of people gather in order to get a good vantage point. The ceremony involving the descend only starts around 9a.m. (timing again not within our control).

Head back to Bangkok after lunch
Check in at hotel and do massage
    Dinner and shopping

    Day 3 01/11/2012 (Thursday): Bangkok

After breakfast at hotel head for City's The Flower Market
It is the primary flower market in Bangkok and has been cited as a "place of symbolic values" to Bangkok residents. It is located on Chak Phet Road and adjacent side-streets, close to Memorial Bridge. Though the market is open 24 hours, it is busiest before dawn, when boats and trucks arrive with flowers from nearby provinces.

    Lunch

    The Ancient Siam (Muang Boran)

Like an open book of history and an open door to the real Thailand, you find numerous reproductions of palace halls, temples, stupas, stone sanctuaries and traditional houses. You can also visit several reconstructed historical buildings, authenticated communities with their inhabitants doing their daily chores and sample villages from all regions of the country.

With a wide range of architectural symbols combined with fine arts and craftsmanship, structural layout and natural environment that integrate harmoniously, The Ancient City creates kind of atmosphere that induces visitors to perceive and appreciate the continuity of history, cultures, religions, arts and customs of Thai people from dawn until now.

Visit Night Market: Asiatique The Riverfront

    Day 4 02/11/2012 – Bangkok-Singapore

    The Erawan Museum (Chang Erawan)

A giant 3-headed elephant alongside Sukhumvit Road contains the Erawan Museum which is actually accommodated within the world's largest elephant and in its belly houses many priceless antiques that the owner wanted to preserve and protect.

The idea of building the three headed elephant was developed during a conversation between Khun Lek , the owner of the artifacts and his Western friend. The idea behind the three headed elephant came from the elephant Airavata (or Aryabhatta) of Hindu mythology. Based on the myth, Airavata is a white elephant with three heads (or sometimes, 33 heads) who carries Lord Indra, the Kind of gods, Lord of heaven, and God of war. Inside the museum house the underworld, the human world and Tavatimsa Heaven and one would be transported into a world of Thai art and furniture unseen in other parts of the world and even the country.

After the visit to the museum, we will then head back to the airport for the trip back home.

There will be a travel photography workshop and a briefing about the trip happening on the 13th September. Those who are interested after the workshop will be refunded with the money if one decides to go for the trip. As there will only be 8-10 places, it will be super limited.

If we can get at least 10 people, the cost of the trip will be standardized for everyone so Early birds that paid for 8 persons price will get a refund.

    I hope that is clear
