This is a discussion on Infra-reds within the Infra-red forums, part of the Photo Galleries category; Entrance, Singapore Botanical Gardens...
I like the post processing, maybe could be one of the sharing topic.
Agree! Good job Bryan!
Hi GPS, unfortunately, I started from film and am not good with computers. PP is something that I don't do extensively.
These 2 have only a few layers in a basic software - PS Elements, not PS CS.
And the most important layer is the levels layer, on which I merely clicked auto-level! Muahahahaha!
However, in actual shooting, I do have something to share. My apologies to Sony, Olympus, Leica, and all other fans. So far, I only played with Canon or Nikons. I also use a IR filter, instead of modifying my sensor.
For IR photos, the normal metering doesn't work. Therefore, exposure is completely manual.
Canons have too strong a AA-pass filter. Takes minutes to take a IR photo. The resultant clouds are all blurred.
Nikons lenses have a tendency to give a spot in the centre of the frame - something that is minimized when the exposure is right.
But, since the human eye can't see IR, only visible light, exposure becomes a thing of trial & error, or experience.

Great stuff, hope to see you in our subsequent meeting, then you could share more. I love IR photos.

Lemme share a few photos of what happens when I didn't get it right.
