MOPSG is organising a photo critique session on 23 August 2012 from 7.30pm to 10pm. Feedback on our work has proven critical to many of us involved in photography. Alongside with Justin, we have invited 3 elite photographers of MOPSG to go through your photographs, talk to you about what they think might work for you, and aspects that could be improved. Composition, original execution and editing will all be discussed. You can explore your concerns and aspirations for the work and you will get honest feedback and encouragement on how to make the images stronger.
You can submit photos of different genres in this thread including landscapes, portraits, macro, sports, weddings and events.
Venue: Will be sent to confirmed participants
Fees: It's FREE!
Who can attend: Photographers who are willing to accept critics and who are also keen to improve their photography skills. Photographers who chose not to submit photos are also welcome.
Number of photos to submit: Let's keep it at 1 photo per participants first.
How to submit my photo?: Just reply this thread with your image and in your post, please provide the type of critiques you would like to receive and what you would like to achieve in your work. Alternatively you may submit your photo using thumbdrive on actual day.
Maximum number of photos we will accept: 30 photos
What else will be covered: We will also announce the winners of the Gardens by The Bay Photography Competition.
To RSVP for this event,: SMS "RSVP 3 JUSTIN NG" without quotes to 83187481 and replace JUSTIN NG with your name. You are NOT ALLOWED to RSVP for your friends. Violators will be banned.

About Jacobs LB Chong
I am just a hobbyist photographer, and concentrate on the fields of macro and landscape, both of which represent to me the diversity and beauty of our natural world. When shooting macro I do my best to connect the subject to its natural environment, but also to stimulate emotion. I’m usually noted for my extensive use of natural (available) light. I feel that this gives my images their characteristic, very natural-looking quality.
When shooting landscape, my main concern is conveying what I felt when shooting the image. This can be a sense of wonder, power, beauty among others, but essentially, it’s the emotion that counts.

About Liew Tong Leng
Liew Tong Leng (or Liew, as he prefers to be called) picked up photography in 1992, as a result of being in the company of friends who were photography enthusiasts. Little did he know then that this hobby would blossom into a full-blown passion that would take him to places he’d never imagine. Literally.
As a testimony to his technical and artistic talent, Liew has clinched hundreds of photography awards, including the Great Eastern 4th Photography Competition (2004), Best of Asian Aerospace Photography Contest (2004), and The Big Shot (2010), a reality TV programme aired on MediaCorp Ch5.
