    Singapore Karting Championship 2012 Round 2 Photography Competition



    Judges (in alphabetical order)

    1) Justin Ng - Started photography in 2010 as a self taught photographer, Justin Ng is now one of the international award-winning photographers based in Singapore. Justin was also featured in Straits Times, Channel 8 News, Shin Min Daily, New Nation, SGEntrepreneurs and various publications. In Feb 2012, Justin has been named as Asia's Top 30 Photographers.     2) Liew Tong Leng - Liew has clinched hundreds of photography awards, including the Great Eastern 4th Photography Competition (2004), Best of Asian Aerospace Photography Contest (2004), and The Big Shot (2010), a reality TV programme aired on MediaCorp Ch5.     3) Yuey Tan - Yuey is the SKC Ambassador, a really good self-taught photographer and he loves racing photos. He was recently called upon to launch Canon products and his profile can be found at Yuey Tan

    Each participant will submit a series of up to 5 photos that shows the essence (Eg: speed, emotions, moments etc..) of the entire race event and the best 3 sets will win the top 3 prizes.

    Terms and Conditions:
    1. All photos must be taken on 18 August 2012 and/or 19 August 2012 at F1 Pit Building or otherwise, the entry will be disqualified.
    2. All participants must be a registered member of MOPSG forum.
    3. Only participants who RSVP via our SMS system are allowed to participate in this photography competition.
    4. Each participant can only submit UP TO FIVE photos.
    5. Photographer owns all copyrights.
    6. Submission deadline: 26 August 2012 by 2359hrs
    7. Results will be announced at MOPSG's next photo sharing and networking session. Date and time to be confirmed again and updated here. The sharing session will take place within 30 calendar days from submission deadline.
    8. Results will be announced and prizes will be awarded during the sharing and networking session.
    9. Winners who are not present will have to contact us at [email protected] to collect their prizes at OUR convenience.
    10. Prizes will be forfeited if winners failed to claim it after 14 working days from the date the results were announced.
    11. Organising committee members are not allowed to participate in the photography competition.
    11. The above terms and conditions are subjected to change without prior notice.

    Image Specifications
    1. Images must be in JPEG format and longest side MUST BE EXACTLY 1024 pixels. Visit Photoshop Tutorial: How to Resize an Image - YouTube to learn how to resize your photo.
    2. Composite photographs, multiple exposures and digitally enhanced (not manipulated!) photos are acceptable.
    3. Photos with watermark are allowed.

    Submission Procedure
    We will only start accepting submissions after 17 August 2012 @ 2359hrs.

    1. Register a MOPSG forum account by clicking here.
    2. Post up to 5 photos in this thread only. Visit our Guide to posting images in Ministry of Photography Singapore Forums for more information.
    3. Each participant can only submit up to 5 photos in ONE post only.
    4. Indicate in your post, your full name in NRIC/FIN/Passport (for verification purpose during collection of prizes) and the last 4 digits of the mobile number you used to RSVP for the above event.
    5. You are also allowed to hide your photo submission from other viewers. Visit our Guide to hiding contents from other viewers for more information.

    Note:
    You need to wait for the page to load completely before you can see the advanced options. You can do a test post on this feature at Testing 1 2 3 | Ministry of Photography Singapore

    Hi, for some reason I do not have the advanced options to hide my photos. Is it due to my lack of posts?

    Hi captainelmo,

    perhaps you could try the following "template" but replace <> with [] would do the trick.

    <HIDE-POSTS=99999>

    Name as per NRIC: your name
    Last 4 Digits: numbers

    [Picture 1]
    [Picture 2]
    etc
    </HIDE-POSTS>

    You need to wait for the page to load completely before you could see the advanced options. Alternatively you can click on Reply to Thread button instead of using Quick Reply. You may also test your post at Testing 1 2 3 | Ministry of Photography Singapore before you submit actual photos.
