Where to send for reliable & effective sensor cleaning?

    Hi,

Does any one know which shop provide reliable & effective sensor cleaning service? I need to send my Canon 5D Mark II for cleaning, as at f/11 I can see obvious dark spots on my photos -- many of them!!! Blower don't really help me much as it basically blowing the smudges from one spot to another. I tried Canon customer service a couple of times before, but the results were not very satisfactory; first time I ended up getting a replacement unit, second time it was a free service so cannot complaint...

    Please advise. Thanks in advance.

    Hi there,

Did you manage to find the solution already? I am currently looking for someone to clean also. I have the same experience
with Canon service center actually they never clean it properly and sometime it make it worst.

    Thanks!

Didn't get any feedback, so I just let Canon to do it, paying $20 as usual... Result not very satisfying, just better than what I did, still can see dots at f16 and above... may be will try P&G Adelphi soon...

Cleaning the sensor seems to be a common problem with many users. Somehow cameras are also designed to have dust on sensor. I have sent mine to Nikon service center before and it cost like $40 if I remember correctly.

Since this is a common issue, would it be great if forum groups can offer to teach each other on what to purchase and how to clean? DIY will be great not to just save money but also cut down the trips to service centers.
